#OnHoldAtHome with Brian & Rachel

“We need each other to bring joy and meaning to our lives.”

What are your fears and/or concerns right now?

Rachel: I worry that the current administration is politicizing the very things we need to champion right now: facts, science, and collective action for the greater good.

Brian: I’m concerned for the health of our parents and older relatives, and that the effects of this pandemic could devolve into a larger societal conflict.

What have you learned from living this new normal?

Rachel: I’ve learned that despite how individualistic we tend to be, we’re inherently social creatures. We need each other to bring joy and meaning to our lives. I’m missing simple things like drinks with friends, salsa dancing, and hugs.

Brian: Like everyone else on Instagram, I’ve learned how to bake a loaf of bread. Next up, homebrewing.

Do you think anything positive will come from all of this?

Rachel: I hope we’ll have a renewed understanding of what’s most important in life – that we’ll make more time for one another and live more in the present.

Brian: I believe we’ll come together and remove at least one contagion on November 3rd. Please vote.
