For those not familiar with the term “Golden Hour”, it is defined as the period of time right after sunrise or before sunset. The light is warm and soft creating a cinematic effect that makes everything glow with beauty.

Randi and Tyler are a truly beautiful couple, inside and out. They met at their church and live their life around their family and faith. When we talked about their engagement session I knew exactly at what time of day I wanted to photograph - Golden Hour! I asked them to pick their favorite and meaningful spot in Richmond, VA. Like many couples, Belle Isle holds a special place for Richmonders. It is a magical place the epitomizes the beauty of this amazing river city.

Randi, Tyler and I spent a little bit over an hour that perfect afternoon walking around Belle Isle. Between the light and their beautiful love, I could not have asked for a more stunning engagement session.
